DTA 8001 Data Science Internship
The Data Science Internship serves as an alternative culminating experience for students in the Master of Science in Data Science (MSDS) program. This course provides students with supervised professional experience in applying data science, analytics, and computational techniques within a business, research, or organizational setting. Students work under the joint supervision of an on-site mentor and a faculty advisor, applying the principles of programming, statistical modeling, and data-driven decision-making to real-world projects. The internship integrates academic learning with professional practice, culminating in a final reflective report and presentation that demonstrate mastery of program competencies.
