MGT 7520 Applied AI for Managerial Decision Making

This graduate-level course prepares students to evaluate and apply artificial intelligence (AI) in managerial and organizational decision-making. Students examine how AI, generative AI, and agentic systems influence strategy, operations, and workforce management. The course emphasizes AI-enabled decision-making and responsible governance rather than technical system development.

Students are introduced to the conceptual differences between AI, machine learning, and related tools, and learn how managers use AI for research, information synthesis, and identifying high-value business use cases. Through case studies and applied scenarios, students assess AI opportunities, manage risks, and support AI-informed business strategy.
