Full Time/Part Time
The following is the minimum credits to receive financial aid in a term.
- Minimum 6 credits per term in order to qualify for financial aid.
- Full Time enrolled students may take thirteen (13) to sixteen (16) credits per semester.
- Part time enrolled students may take eight (8) to twelve (12) credits per semester.
- Students may take up to 8 credits per summer term.
Cost of Attendance
The total amount of federal student aid for which you qualify at Wilmington University School of Law for the entire academic year is determined by your Cost of Attendance. Therefore, changes in your enrollment will directly impact your financial aid.

Satisfactory Academic Progress
The U.S. Department of Education requires that any student receiving federal student aid must be monitored for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) to remain eligible to continue receiving federal student aid each semester.
Wilmington University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy for Financial Aid Recipients is comprised of two components: A qualitative component and a quantitative component. The qualitative component is measured by the student’s GPA; whereas, the quantitative component is measured by the successful completion of credits.
