BHS 101 Intro to Applied Behavioral Health
This course explores the fundamental concepts of Behavioral Health. In this course, the scope of work required by professionals within the varied field of behavioral health will be discussed, as will insights into the diverse settings where client services are provided. A historical overview of behavioral health will investigate the progression of societal perception concerning mental health, stress and anxiety, substance abuse, and the crucial role of early intervention and treatment. Emphasis will be placed on ethical and legal responsibilities of Behavioral Health professionals to promote an understanding of the profession’s expectations. By blending foundational theoretical knowledge with practical skills, this course will equip students with a well-rounded perspective and understanding necessary for meaningful contributions to the profession.
