CTA 101 Intro to Generative AI
Intro to Generative AI is a self-paced, beginner-friendly course designed to build practical skills in using AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini in professional contexts. This course can be completed in 1 to 7 weeks with no prior experience required. Students will learn foundational concepts of generative AI and large language models, develop effective prompting techniques, verify AI-generated outputs, and identify appropriate use cases within their discipline. The course emphasizes responsible AI use, data privacy considerations, and ethical application of AI tools in workplace settings. This interdisciplinary course is applicable across all programs at Wilmington University. Upon successful completion of the course and passing the CompAI Essentials CompCertification exam, students will earn the CompTIA AI Essentials CompCert credential.
