ENG 330 Professional Writing

This course will develop advanced skills in professional writing through project-based learning focused on common workplace tasks such as client communication, team communication, pitches, and executive presentations. Students will need to craft audience-specific and goal-oriented communications that effectively address and mitigate issues, summarize key findings, and persuade stakeholders to take specific actions. These projects will require students to analyze discipline-specific texts and data, synthesize information from multiple sources, and present their findings in a clear, concise, and ethical manner. In addition, students will learn effective revision strategies, professional writing standards, and how to appropriately and effectively utilize generative AI to develop and craft deliverables.
