HIS 381 Contemporary Global Issues
This course explores major global issues such as human rights, poverty, environmental challenges, resource scarcity, globalization, and population trends, by connecting them to the historical events that shaped them. Students will build skills, such as critical thinking, ethical reasoning, cultural awareness, effective communication, and digital literacy, through researching and analyzing current events to evaluate information, understand global perspectives, and apply their insights to real-world challenges.
The course concludes with a capstone project that integrates historical understanding with contemporary global analysis.
