POL 340 Criminal Justice Policy
This course will introduce students to the process by which criminal justice policy is developed and implemented in the United States. Taking a practical approach, this course will break down the complex process of policy development into a series of steps which students will learn to objectively evaluate. Through the use of case studies and contemporary topics, students will critically analyze a criminal justice problem, considering the needs of relevant stakeholders and constituents; assess possible approaches/interventions; and monitor outcomes to determine if modifications are needed.
