OLI 7902 Leadership Communication and Decision Making in Workplace Learning and Talent Development
Leadership is a communicative art and a discipline of sound decision-making. Whether inspiring others with a vision, persuading a resistant audience, resolving conflicts, or engaging diverse stakeholders, effective leadership requires both exceptional communication skills and the ability to make thoughtful, ethical decisions. This course immerses students in learning experiences designed to refine authentic communication and strengthen decision-making strategies that align with integrity, empathy, and organizational goals within workplace learning and talent development activities. Students will explore how leaders use storytelling, active listening, and persuasive dialogue to spur workplace learning and develop talent. Additionally, the course examines the evolving role of AI in communication and decision-making, preparing leaders to leverage technology effectively in guiding organizational talent development efforts toward success.
