OLI 7904 Organizational Effectiveness and Business Acumen in Workplace Learning and Talent Development
Those responsible for leading learning must understand the business of their organizations and how they can drive organizational effectiveness in their workplace learning and talent development programs. This course provides an in-depth examination of organizational performance and its connection to strategic planning, resource allocation, and institutional sustainability. Students will analyze how workplace learning and talent development aligns with goals and evaluate internal and external forces—social, political, economic, legal, and technological—that shape outcomes. Through environmental scanning, business analysis, and strategic planning exercises, learners will develop evidence-based strategies to strengthen workplace learning, talent development, and support innovation and long-term growth.
