GRN 7103 Advanced Pharmacology Across the Lifespan

This course examines pharmacology, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacokinetics across the lifespan. Classifications of pharmaceuticals are explored in relation to indication for use and evidence of efficacy including side effects, idiosyncratic effects, interactions, and allergic reactions. Specific problems related to nutritional, developmental, and health status are explored. Client teaching and counseling as well as the legalities and regulations of prescription-writing privileges are examined.
