GRN 7106 Acute and Chronic Care Across the Lifespan I

This course examines primary care concepts across the lifespan through a holistic, patient-centered lens. Emphasis is placed on health promotion, disease prevention, and the integration of theoretical frameworks and professional practice standards. Students will develop competencies in the assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based management of acute and chronic health conditions, while addressing the unique needs of individuals and families. Core principles of cultural humility, diversity, equity, inclusion, and self-directed care are woven throughout the curriculum. Students will further develop competencies in the use of collaborative approaches, emerging technologies, advocacy, and leadership to enhance health outcomes and promote excellence in primary care.

Admission to the NP Program, GRN 7101, GRN 7103 and GRN 7104. Must be taken at the same time as GRN 7121.
