GRN 7105 Differential Diagnosis and Clinical Decision Making Across the Lifespan

This course focuses on the development of differential diagnoses and the process of clinical decision making to evaluate and treat clients across the lifespan. Students will use nursing’s distinct perspective as well as an interdisciplinary approach to evaluate relevant clinical findings, develop appropriate differential diagnoses, and evaluate possible treatment modalities. Using foundational knowledge, students will integrate new concepts to develop clinical decision making and guide development of the plan of care. Students will also evaluate cost-effectiveness and ethics in the clinical decision-making process.
