GRN 7108 Acute and Chronic Care Across the Lifespan III
This course emphasizes the delivery of holistic primary care across the lifespan, with a strong focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and the application of theoretical frameworks and professional standards. Assessment, diagnosing, and management acute episodic illnesses and chronic health conditions using evidence-based research and clinical guidelines, while addressing the unique needs of individuals and families will be presented. Core concepts of cultural competence, diversity, equity, inclusion, and self-directed care are integrated throughout the course. Students will further develop competencies in the use of collaborative approaches, emerging technologies, advocacy, and leadership to enhance health outcomes and promote excellence in primary care.
